They say 5 bands... I'm assuming 2 major acts, 2 opening acts and 1 for soc sci?

In the past it's been two for the smaller concert (Wednesday?), and three for the Saturday concert.

And if you're in Soc Sci you're going to get to see an extra band or two.

Same thing happened at the "Debunking the myths" session! I guess it's better that way though, more excitement!

They're usually pretty good at getting bands for Welcome Week. Not impressed with what I'm seeing so far this year though.

does anyone know if Down With Webster is headlining or opening? b/c in my opinion that would be a downer as a headliner, especially with alexisonfire and tokyo police club last year, maybe its just not my style....

This question is not related to welcome week concerts but it pertains to welcome week. I will not be able to make it on Sep 7 so i was wondering what kind of events ill be missing on that day of welcome week. As well, is there anyway I can see what events are happening on which day?

Why don't they know yet? And why is it some band that no one has heard of. Check what other bands are playing for other schools. I think Alexisonfire played a whole whack of Welcome Weeks.

And get Neverending White Lights. Do it Nino!

Hi Everyone,

To clear some things up...We (Campus Events) do know who the bands are. Most of the student leaders do not know, as we try to keep things a little secretive to keep people wondering. We will anounce them in the near future.

As for the previous post, Alexisonfire played here last year, and Neverending White Lights has played on campus twice in the past 2 years. That's not to say they won't play again...but we try not to do too many of the same artists multiple years in a row.

What I can tell you about the concerts is that there are a range of bands/performers to reach a large majority of the students' tastes.

Personally, based on my experiences from 5 previous Welcome Weeks, the concerts are so high-energy, with the thousands of people screaming and singing, that it is irrelevant as to who is actually playing because the experience is completely worth it.

If the Welcome Week concerts aren't your style, there will be loads of events through the rest of the schoolyear, so keep posted on our facebook group at http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/gr...35 449&ref=ts

The worst part about this is that I can't try and go to a friend's University to listen to a concert I'd enjoy this year, I'm still jealous that Brock got K-Os last year.
