You're considered a part-time student because you're registered for under 18 units currently.

You are considered to be a Full time if you are taking a minimum of 24 units. Anything less than that is considered Part time by McMaster.

Full time students have a bunch of extra fees and benefits I think they pay, since I am not sure if bus passes are included for part timers

but it's 18 units for the MSU.

You should have registered in term 2 courses already. Spots fill up fast, and you can switch or drop courses later if you change your mind.

HSR is done through the MSU, so you only need 18 units to be a MSU member. So you can still be part-time according to McMaster (under 24 units) but still be a MSU member.

Yea I forgot to mention that . I was referring to McMaster specifically, not the MSU.

well I am in Commerce and all the courses I need to take in term 2 are required courses so I will get a place anyway
I was just wondering if I could register for it later?
I mean do I really have to pay the tuition right the way?
I can separate the payment without paying any interest in this way
Can I register for more courses in term 2 right b4 it starts?

The problem is that should you have any electives, it will be more difficult to get into them as more people sign up. Also there may be less flexibility in your schedule especially if others do the same.

Good thinking though, I have never heard of anyone doing this!

You should double check to make sure you're allowed and don't get screwed over in some way.

Are you allowed try out for a varsity team if you're only taking 3 courses first semester?

The cost are less flexibility and risk of losing these at in elective
Good things are I can pay the tuition later without paying the interest to MAC
Why are we paying the services provided by MAC 4 months earlier? It's like lending money to MAC but I have to pay the interest
Its stupid to me but I decided to take 18 credits anyway because I need my bus sticker =>
