I'm in 224C. Would that be a corner room? Also, does anyone know if the C is a bunk or a loft?

202 isn't a corner room. but it's a decent size.
bed a will be labelled when you move in. it's the bunk bed.

My room last year 427 was a corner room and it was pretty big but it was also a single so I don't really know.

Hi,
I was assigned to a single room in Whidden, and since it begins with 1, I assume that it's on the first floor...
I never thought that I may be in this residence and I've never visited Whidden, so could someone who knows fill me in on some things?
1) How are the bathrooms? How many people do you share with? Is it generally busy? Is it generally clean?
2) How is living on the first floor? Is it louder than all the others because of the traffic?
3) I know this is a weird question, but how do the windows open? Do they slide or "flip" (I don't know how to describe it)?
4) Does it get really hot, since it has no AC?
5) I'm not much of a party person... actually... I'm not a party person at all. Am I going to hate Whidden?
Thanks so much!
EDIT: 6) Sorry, and I've heard that the single rooms are roomy at Whidden... Is this true?

1) In most of Whidden the washrooms are public style washrooms with stalls and showers with curtains on them. However on first floor there are single person, locked washrooms. They aren't in your room but there are a bunch scattered around the floor. So on first floor you have to share with a few other people but it is a single, private washroom and shower deal so that's cool.
Washrooms are cleaned every day but custodial staff.
2) I didn't live on first floor so I can't answer this. I would say it probably isn't that much louder, it's just a lobby with an elevator, people don't really hang out there they just come in a go to their room. Also the building is a Y shape so most of the rooms are not right beside the lobby so you probably won't even hear people there.
3) The windows slide up.
4) For most of the months you are in residence it's not hot so no AC isn't a huge issue. Just bring a fan, it works great. In a single you can just point the fan at yourself if you get too hot or something or open your windows.
5) No residence is really a party residence, it depends on the people who live there each year. If you're not a party person it doesn't matter. I'm not a party person either and I found Whidden very nice, and quiet last year. I wasn't there on the weekends but a lot of others go home weekends too. If noise levels get too loud CAs deal with that, it's not as if there is no regulation. If you have a personal problem with noise you can tell a CA or at night call the CA on coverage pager and someone will deal with the issue. Don't worry about not partying, lots of others won't be party people either.
Enjoy Whidden!

You can't really tell from the letter. Really, all that means is that your assigned bedspace is "c" so until you get into the room, you can't tell; but expect a bunk bed seeing that it looks like you're in a triple.

C is probably the loft bed but it could be one of the bunk spaces.
There's not a huge difference one is a bunk bed with a top and a bottom for 2 people and the third is a loft bed with just a bed on top and likely your desk will be right underneath that.

Floor three, room 324, bed A. That mean I'm on a top bunk?

You're not necessarily on a top bunk. You might be if your room is a triple, but you could always trade with your roommates if you want the bottom bunk or vice versa.

Oh another question; there's no cafeteria in Whidden, is there? And we're allowed to eat in cafeterias in other residences, right?
