Np!

Actually when you move in you'll be given a small wallet. The wallet fits your key card, your student card and your key. So you can keep them all together and try not to lose the whole thing. Like PTGregD said, expensive to replace.

You get one of each. It's just that every time you need a replacement, it's like $75-100. I can't remember the exact price.

Bottom line is: Don't lose them.

Don't be scared! It's not that easy to lose it. I'm a really forgetful person and I never lost my keys.

Yup, you start off with just 1 but replacements are easily available. You just don't want to lose your keys multiple times because it could be costly.

... Too slow of a response eh.

Well... This one time at a hotel... I was only there for 3 days and I locked myself out like 5 times, and apparently you have to pay every time you get locked out, too? so... I think this is going to be a bit difficult for me... xD

You should buy a McMaster lanyard, attach your keys to it and just keep it on you 24/7.

That's what I did during first year and I never locked myself out once.

You can pretend to be stylish like me in first year and hang the lanyard out of your pocket. Then everyone will know you go to McMaster!

You are given a lanyard if you purchase the macpass with other swag, you can use it with the pouch given by residence admissions when you move in.

Yeah I just kept my card and keys with the wallety thing I got when I moved in and attached the lanyard from my Macpass to it and kept it in my pocket or around my neck all the time. I never got locked out. I forgot my keys in my room one time but thankfully my roommate was in there and let me back in.

If you just forget your keys in your room and get locked out then you have to go to Commons and get a temp key to get back in. First lockout is free but everytime after that you have to pay and the fee goes up every time, I think the 2nd time is like $3 dollars and so on.

If you loose the key or card altogether then there is a much higher replacement fee so try not to lose it.
