I asked someone who lived in a bunk/loft and she said last year it was. So maybe on Welcome Day we can find out
Me too! I was thinking of actually buying one on my own to use it for the upcoming years too.. it'd be the same cost as renting anyway

if you go to http://tinyurl.com/m54rg7 (Home Depot) that's the white one. I got the black, but either is good

EDIT: Also, the magic chef website has the black one: http://tinyurl.com/n87mxl. Good luck!

pros
- bigger rooms
- the Cave is there
- Study rooms are in the basement
- Underground tunnel is footsteps away
- there's a Games Room in the yellow wing
- Gorgeous view of Cootes out your window

Cons
- tends to be secluded from the rest of the building. But in all honesty, all you have to do is walk up to first floor and you can easily meet people that way or you can become a FLIRC! =)

Oh yeah anyone know the story of whidden 2nd floor? I just heard a story from my cousin who just graduated in 2008.

The story begin:

Couple years ago ,there was a couple in whidden, the girl was on the 2nd floor and the boy was on the 4th floor. They were in love but then they broke up. But the break up didn't go smoothly so there was a competition between 2nd floor and the 4th floor. And one day the guy put his poops in the microwave on the 2nd floor and microwaved it for an hour and so from there on there is a bad smell on the second floor. eventhough they threw away the microwave and changed the carpets, people can still smell it.

NOt sure if it is a true story but that' s what my cousin told me lol and yeah she told me that there's a secret floor in whidden. The floor has only a wall where people get to sign on it. But people need to know the secret code..? (not sure about the code lol)

Anyways, i just want to share the stories i heard and lol i'm in Mckay and i'm happy lol. Let's have a great year together

This'll be my third year in Whidden so... I have heard about the story. As for the secret floor that doesn't exist. However, on the basement elevator if you open the back of it there are tons of signatures. No code needed, just strength and maybe a fork?

Woot first post! Anyway, I'm in Whidden and my room is: 205B bunk and loft on floor 2G. So does 2G mean ground floor? And does anyone know what the B means in terms of my sleeping situation?

Glad to here its something of a party residence. Im curious of how res parties work.. like where do they take place? How much are they regulated? and is there any kind of punishment?

Awww room 205 was my neighbour last year. It's a pretty big room, actually! I believe B is the lower bunk. You can have parties in residence as long as a) it ends before 1am on Fridays & Saturdays b) you're not EXTREMELY loud c) there is no alcohol involved considering most of you aren't of age anyway. You will have Community Advisors (CAs) regulating them and you will be punished if you break those rules. Everything will be explained in detail on the day you move in. If you break certain rules you will be given a major or a minor which includes a fine. Upon x number of majors and minors you will be kicked out of residence. There have been students in the past who've been kicked out and to be honest, they missed out.

Also, underage drinking is a provincial offence. Not sure what the penalties are but I'm sure they are quite severe.

you can't have a window air conditioner, but a mini desk fan will be really nice to have. especially the first few weeks of september, you'll be really happy to have it.

If it's a bunk and loft room, you get the loft , not sure about a quad though.
