Sorry for the late reply. Although I do have a position in residence and have worked with CAs in the past I am not a CA. I am the VP Communications for the Inter-Residence Council (IRC). The IRC does some things which are similar to that which CAs do but we have very different roles. You'll have a programming rep and a hall rep. Steven (he's somewhere on MacInsiders) is the programming rep and he'll be planning numerous events for you within Whidden and he'll be planning residence wide events as well. Your hall rep (insert name here) will be focusing on the advocacy portion so you can speak to her about problems with facilities, food, and the sorts. You'll learn more about the difference when you move in in September. As for me, I chose to live in Whidden because I loved it so much I was the programmer last year. You can talk to me about promotions, the website, and the Ontario Residence Hall Association. I'm pretty sure MacInsiders has an article somewhere about the IRC and maybe something that distinguishes the difference between us and CAs and HPAs and HCAs. Nevertheless, you can come to talk to me about anything I've been there and done that
See ya in September!

Yes, lol.
And we're unaware that we use them. It's become habit to us.

Haha sorry! Okay, I'll break it down a bit
IRC = Inter-Residence Council. It includes 1 President, 5 VPs (Communications [me], Internal [Callen], Finance [James], Administration [Shanika], and Programming [Caitlin], 12 Programming Representatives, 12 Hall Representatives and more than I can count FLIRCs
Programming Representative= works on behalf of the IRC to plan events in residence and residence wide
Hall Representative= works on behalf of the IRC with a focus on advocacy
FLIRC= Floor Level IRC. Essentially, they are students in residence who volunteer to help plan and run the most amazing events and ensure that everyone in their building is being advocated for.
CA= Community Advisor
HPA= Head Programming Advisor (they plan welcome week, and in-hall events throughout the year) However they also have a CA role as well
HCA= Head Community Advisor. They're like the manager of the CAs in a way. They're also a CA
RM = Residence Manager. The residence manager lives in the blue wing first floor of Whidden but typically you won't see her unless you've been written up
RLS= Residence Life Staff. It includes the CAs, HPA, HCA, RM etc but NOT the IRC
At first acronyms are tricky but before you know it you're using them as well. Hope that clarifies things a bit! Keep in mind that this is super brief. I could go in more detail if need be.

Ah thanks!
i can't find anything on fridges being included in the rooms right now, maybe they'll send out information later on so i'll just hold tight!

I've heard that one was included in each bunk/loft. but even if you're forced to rent one, here's all the information from Coldex -> http://www.coldexrents.com/

i can only hope so!
and i'd probably end up buying a mini fridge before renting one. i would then be able to stack it ( if we needed more fridge space) and i'd have a fridge for second year where ever i end up
