If nobody's mentioned this yet - the A/C and heat was really odd on the first floor of Woodstock, I found.

Turning on the A/C rarely made much difference, but turning on the heat overnight (even on really cold nights) could end up boiling you and your roommates alive

Are the A/C and heaters controlled per-room or is it floorwide?

I think it's a bit of both, since we didn't freeze to death and our heater was off for most of the winter. When it got really cold, we'd turn the heater on for an hour (and the temperature would rise to ~30 degrees) and then turn it off before we went to bed, so it would drop during the night...

It looks like a jail. Don't expect anything nice to look at and hopefully it will surprise you

I didn't get to take any pictures, but don't expect it to be much; the rooms are like oversized walk-in closets with beds, and each shower booth (of which there are 3) is like 50cm by 50cm.

It was pretty dark but a lot of the light fixtures were off/not working when I went in. Hopefully that will be fixed.

While the building isn't anything special, I suppose it's the people in it that makes all the difference. I'll be in 618A

By the way the main material used in the matresses seem to be rocks, so you'll want some type of foam/cushion to put on top if you're not used to sleeping on a hard bed.
