Would dropping 1zb3 be a good idea?
Right now i am failing math 1zb3 and i think i am going to fail on the next midterm. I have talked to sally about it, but she left me uneasy by telling me that what I learn in 1zb3 is used in 1zc3 a week later? Is this true? If so would it be a good idea to drop that course and keep 1zc3 even though they are anti requests for each other?

From what i recall, 1zc3 was different than 1zb3. When i took the course, we did double integration in 1zc3, that was the only topic related to 1zb3.

It's better if you talk to your math 1zc3 prof about it.

If you are going to fail then drop it. You don't even need 1ZB3 to take 2Z03 and 2ZZ3. So you can still take it in summer school while taking 1ZB3.

What they said. Generally, 1ZB3 is a continuation of 1ZA3 whilst 1ZC3 teaches you concepts with a different focus.

As far as I was and am concerned, it's,
1ZA3 + 1ZB3 -> Algebra and calculus and stuff
1ZC3 -> Vectors and matrices and stuff

Probably an oversimplification, but eh.

I dont feel any pity for anyone having difficulty in either of those maths... we had to take them both combined into one 5 credit course in first year, and we had 4 or 5 midterms in that class. Suck it up and grind it out!

B math doesn't have much correlation to C math. Do realize if you drop it, the required average for engineering choice goes up.
