The girl in your story sounds like a complete b*tch but at the end of the day, I'm sure some other girls will one day punch her in the head for her stupidity, no need to make yourself look like a douche.

On a side note... why do people want gender equality when both genders are clearly not equal (biologically, and otherwise)? Shouldn't we be aiming for gender equity?

Absoultely not! Countering violence with violence in this situation is definitely not the right way to go. If you punch her back you could start a fight (and no one wants fights at parties) and it could esacalte into something both parties do not want to get into. Also youre average girl isnt going to sucker punch a guy in the face just because her friend is talking to some guy she doesnt like.

everyone's definition of a real man is different I guess. IMO real man= someone who sticks by his decisions regardless of what other people tell him, because he has the confidence and intelligence to do so.
so by my definition this corny real man stuff doesn't make you a real man, b/c everyone has decided for you what a "real man" would do in this situation and you're just listening to them instead of making a decision based on the situation.
I think I'm a man because Im confident/arrogant as hell, and Im very stubborn b/c I listen to no one but myself, even my parents advice falls on deaf ears..........
and by this definition a woman can be a man too, however weird this last sentence may sound.
What i believe feminism is supposed to stand for is to bring forth women's attributes as both respectable and equal in rights as opposed to what males (USED) to have.
i.e. provide both sexes equal rights (as much as possible).
But its a common sight to see feminists (who aren't feminists who call themselves feminists) who demand men being wiped off the planet, or more rights then men. So i said it as a presentiment, but the word has no meaning anymore T_T
