Your grandma can make something like this for 4 dollars.

Nothing about this is worth 80 dollars.

Solution: Don't shop at Old Navy? -thinks of all the stores to ever exist-
I really think you're limiting yourself by specifically thinking of certain stores and their image.

Taking a quick gander on this website, I can find a LOT of similar products at "regular" stores. All it is is a different label.

Edit: Apparently I'm indie. Who knew.

Well, I have been to a lot of stores, actually. o-o; I just don't like what normal people wear, I guess. I am not normal, I am ****ed in the head; I admit that.

Also, I don't buy indie clothing regularly. I just bought a few things once.

I'm complete opposite lol, I love brand name stuff. Go to a good mall, and walk into a bunch of different clothing stores, see what you like. Try to find a "style" you like. And often times, you get what you pay for. Many will say that expensive clothes are expensive only because of the name put on them. A fair amount of that is true, but most of those clothes will last you a long time. As for "indie" clothing stores, I hear 'dem hipsters go to American Apparel sometimes.

Since I can't buy nice clothes I've completely outgrown caring about my own fashion sense. I mean it was a miracle that I even found a pair of shoes that fit right for me...

You just need to evaluate the cost of the clothing versus the reward. As a university student you could use all the spare change you can get.
Less time at the mall MORE TIME CLIMBING DEM BEANSTALKS!

Indie? do you mean "vintage"?

Either way, the only good thing in Kensington is their Oyster bars and tea shops. Indie sounds like someone who shops at value village thinking they have "unique" style and nobody gets them except for their hipster friends. Nothing wrong with that, but nothign right either..in my opinion
