That is your problem, who told you to apply to a single room? You won't be lonely outside of your room if you would like to be. There are many new ways to meet people such as joining a club on interest.

Well from my experience in Hedden Hall in first year, practically my entire floor would just hang out in the hallways all the time. We practically had "floor dinners" almost on a nightly basis where we'd hit up Commons ("Centro" now..) and eat in the hallways

I love how the majority of the upcoming first years' concerns are if Mac bell-curves and are actually serious about wanting to know - although many people have offered practical tips on how to do well in your courses

Especially if you're commuting. Man, I can't stand kids who live 5 minutes away from their classes and still manage to not be on time.

I can't stand how I always get 8:30, 4:30 and evening classes while my friends who live on-campus/in the area seem to get classes that are between the hours of 10:30 and 3:30. Grrrr.

Wow that sucks. Seriously, I'm sorry :( I'm going to have an 8:30 class next year. It's sort of self-inflicted, but I'm determined to take the course because it's only one of two in the entire Religious Studies department focusing on Islam -___- Blah.

What also sucks is how kids who live in Hamilton have a longer commute than I do. I don't even live in the city and it takes me 30 minutes. If the driver is feeling youthful, 28 o.o

Actually, if you end up with a single room, that's a pretty sweet deal. You won't be lonely because you'll have ample opportunities to spend time with floor mates, but then you can always come back to the privacy of your room, without having anyone to answer to.

Besides, it's pretty lonely to share a room with someone who, turns out, you don't actually get along with.

I specifically pick courses that start at 8:30. I like to be done earlier in the day and I'm way too tired in the evening to concentrate.

This probably makes me sound super nerdy, but I am not sure on which science courses to take!

I'm going into level 1 arts and science so I am choosing between taking the bio courses and the chem courses, however I plan to do a combined honours degree in something bio/chem related...so I want to take both...but I don't think 36 credits in first year is wise...or allowed...LOL any advice?

Who even goes to class? Unless attendance counts for marks.
