It's alright but I think it may look better with a sans-serif font instead.

I don't love it. I think that quarters should still be in the logo.

why would quarters be in the logo its called 1280 now? :S
that said, i dont love it either, looks like a book store logo rather than a campus pub
EDIT: LMAO we said the exact same thing at the same time, too weird haha!

Umm there is something about this logo that isn't attractive! As people above said it looks farrr too bookstorish, the E there actually looks like a logo for a University(Like we have M for Mac). Maybe try changing the font?
Secondly what are the other possible options? Is it possible to upload them on the MSU website and create a poll? We could have another similar poll running at Insiders and by combining the two the BOD could have a decent idea as to what we like.

It's just called 1280.
The logo is .. ehh. Like others have said, the E looks like the logo for a university name that starts with E.

If you would read the article that was posted than you would see that it was titled "Quarters 1280". I just went on now, and the "quarters" has been crossed out, so I'm not sure if it's quarters 1280, or just quarters. But that's what it said on the website about 5 minutes ago.

Yeah its not thats its ugly, its just a little boring for something that is supposed to be a bar/club. I also don't really get a mcmaster vibe from it either.

I think that the vibe intended here is more of a homely place for students to go and chill out. They have completely renovated it, I haven't seen it but I imagine that it's not the dark and dingy looking place that it used to be. Who knows, maybe the logo actually suits the bar.
