I thought it would have looked cooler using the numbers instead of the words "Twelve Eighty" or in this case.. "TwelvEighty"
1280 could have looked slicker in my opinion. Something like this:
zoyy, .:callen:., adrian, AlchemistX, aya017, DannyV, emily, etoilex3, huzaifa47, jachill, MelissaL, nawwal-eng, nila*, niteskie, scott000, syaseen, ~*Sara*~
like this.

The "E" and the rest of the logo look like they're from separate things and got thrown together by accident. I don't like it at all.

I disagree. The original logo seems more down to earth. Somewhere you can go to relaxe. Chad's logo would look really nice for a bar in hess villiage or something, but it doesn't feel like home. It seems like a place that you would have to dress up to go to, rather than a place where you can jsut pop by wearing whatever you want.

Your optimism continues to dazzle me.
The new logo is another step in the rebranding. It aims to become a more inclusive establishment that is not trying to be a club venue, but rather a better space to be used by all students.

But it will be a club venue right? They're not planning on changing the nights they usually had right? Where else will the first year woo-girls go?

It's called 1280. That's it. No more quarters!
As for the new logo, I like it, since it's intended to be more of a scholarly hang-out, and less of a "club" feel.

I suspect yes, we'll still have club nights on campus.

haha, well, i dont know, but its definitely called 1280 and the qord quarters is definitely no where in the name what so ever.
anyways,
I do like your logo better chad, at least the text/font aspect of it.
But please do change the logo so that when everyone is "goin to 1280 tonight" we're not walking in under THAT sign haha, not that its AWEFUL, just that it feels more like a restaurant/bookstore (which is fine during the day), but lame at night.

Just wondering,
how are they planning on making money by being a casual hang out people go to sometimes?
They're still having club nights, arent they? I hadn't heard anything about that stopping.

I just think many of you are being naive in thinking this renovation is going to change anything...
