applying to level II+summer courses
When do we start applying for courses we want to take during summer or at least where can we check to see what courses are available during the summer.

For second year sciences, almost all departments require a cumulative average (CA) of 6 which I think is a C+. How do the department calculate your CA???? Also, what are the chances of getting into any science program if let's say someone gets the minimum CA (6 that is) during their 1st year!!

what if you don't get into any of the second year programs you applied to?

Im really nervous because I have to start looking at second year programs and I didn't do good in term 1. Im hoping to do good in term 2 to get my average really up but Im not sure if that's enough :(

THANK YOU

Mid-March is when you're able to see which courses are available.

I think that's about the same time you can jump on SOLAR and pick the courses you want.

Even if your GPA was a 1 last term, get an 11 this term and your GPA will be 6.

But is 6 enough to get into level II of sciences. I mean most of the good/interesting programs are limited.

Uh, it depends on the program. I'd say ideally you'd want a 7-9 and you should be fine, but I honestly have no idea what any of the GPA requirements are except for chemical biology, where I'm sure most of the students had a 10+ in first year.

it's not. If the program is non-limited ex honours enviro, life sci all u need is the 6 and the prereqs and you are set. for non limited go above and beyond. they almost ALWAYS raise it to around 7.6- 10 region so aim there
