Nope. However, you could call them and ask.

It will be a Cogeco service (for whatever reason Hamilton can't get Rogers), and at least a few tiers.

You may have gotten it confused with a cable that you get for internet in your rooms. However, if you live in Bates or Keyes you can bring a TV and get cable in your "living room". (Someone correct me if I'm wrong about this, I had a friend who lived in Bates last year and he brought a TV and hooked up cable - I don't think he paid anything extra for it.)

May I ask which res you're living in?

If you're living in the brand new res, Les Prince Hall, then you're going to be using a VOIP connection for internet and phone. Les Prince Hall is the only res with VOIP. This means your phone connection is digital instead of the normal connection.

You plug that cable coming out of the wall into your phone, and then plug another cable from your phone into your PC for internet.

You can have cable in other res rooms (than just bates and keeyes), and there is no additional cost for it, or so we were told in an earlier post which I can't find right now..

I don't think so lorend... When I lived in a traditional-style residence last year, I was told that I could get cable to my room but it would have to be through an independent cable provider like Cogeco or something. And the regular fees would apply as if you were hooking up cable to your house, for example.

Looks like you have to buy it yourself

The Res handbook states:

Quote:
Cable TV
It’s in every common room/lounge and the connections
are also in Bates and Mary E. Keyes living rooms. You can
also have cable TV in your bedroom (except bedrooms in
Mary E. Keyes & Les Prince Hall) but you need to provide
your own TV and call the local cable company to make
arrangements at your cost. COGECO cable services can be
contacted at 905-333-5522 or view the COGECO web site
at cogeco.com
