Try writing in TSH with a ****ing loud banging sound the entire time (did I mention 40% of the exam is listening?) while not being offered earplugs and the prof/invigilators going "lulzwutisthatthissuc ks"

WTF! instead of inconveniencing us, why not stop the damn construction for 2 weeks.

and exams in DBAC?!?!?!? that has just got to be THE stupidest thing I have ever heard...

I cannot wait to leave this school...it gets more and more disappointing every year...

Thank you MAC!

They have to complete the construction by a certain date or they lose the federal funding for it and apparently they're already behind schedule....

Alot of projects right now are CEAP (Canada's Economic Action Plan) and was created to create jobs to help with the recession. Funding for the ends on March 31 and the project must be completed by that date in order to get funding. So there's alot of projects out there right now trying to fit into a tight timeline.
Construction cannot always be stopped and the contractor probably wouldn't have a project they could do for only 2 weeks.

You also have to think about it from DBAC's point of view. There's alot of paying members to use the facility and closing the track down for 2 weeks would create alot of angry users. I was told the track would most likely be closed during exams, so I canceled my membership a month sooner than I planned on. Why pay for time that's unusable?

I would not have enjoyed having exams in DBAC, but it's either that or in a gym with construction right there. Which is preferable?

Don't worry about the paying customers or anything.

The track is included in your tuition. The pulse is not....

Don't worry about losing millions of dollars that have already been spent.

I agree the University has handled this very poorly, however shutting down the construction was probably not a very viable option.

Note that I am alumni, so I don't have tuition. I have to pay for a base membership. I know of a few other people with it as well.

I don't think they are going to lose too many "customers" to other universities because of some construction...

That's exactly what I said.

Not giving a **** about us = us going elsewhere. Yup.

Why would we care? It's not like they actually finish the construction while we are still in school.

If we do campus tours and bring people to DBAC while students
are writing their exams to show what Mac is doing, then it will
have an impact.
