Are you in the regular nursing program? If so, go here: http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /CALEN...nt/pg1348.html
And click on "Basic (A) Stream). It'll take you to a page with the courses you take each year. S for first year it looks like this:
Level I: 30 units ......
And if you click on each course it'll take you to a course description on the undergrad calendar. Also, you have to take 24 units, meaning you have 3 units for an elective (i.e. 1 half-year elective). You don't get anything in the mail.

Search for electives on this site, and there's a post that gives a pretty detail evaluation of all the bird courses that can be taken at mac..

Is it possible to pick electives that are not from your Program as well?
For example, I'm in Psych through Social Science, but I really waant to take the Astronomy course, ASTRON 1F03, which is under Science.
btw: any advice on ASTRON 1F03? is it worth taking? (that's if I can even take it)

Unless you are in engineering you can take any courses where you meet the prerequisites.
