English Courses
For some medical schools in the US, they require a full year of English. I know that English 1A03 and 1AA3 cover this prerequisite, but does anybody know of another courses that do so as well. Does linguistics 1A03 and 1AA3 count? or any other courses?

You would have to contact each school to find out for sure. Just because one school accepts it doesn't necessarily mean that other schools (even for the same program) would also accept it.

Definitely contact the school. I've heard some schools also accept English 1CS3 and 1C06.

Also, just fyi, Dr. York is teaching Shorter Genres this year and Dr. Giroux is teaching 1CS3. They are both senior profs and I recommend taking those courses with them. Dr. Giroux usually only teaches graduate courses so it's a big deal that he's teaching a 1st year course. I wish I could retake 1CS3 with him.

i'm also wondering if taking an english course taken from another university (so the mark doesnt count towards our CA, but i get the credit) would be sufficient. Or do we have to take an english course that counts towards our CA? thanks

You have to send transcripts from all universities you attended to the schools you are applying to, so it would still count towards your overall CA even though it doesn't count towards your McMaster CA.
