Questions like these can be a bit tricky to answer because you can't say with certainty if it's a yes/no. By the time you graduate with your degree specializing in GIS it might start spreading like wildfire due to various reasons and there would be a high demand for people. The flip side of the coin is obviously the opposite happening. Keeping that in mind, there is a fair level of uncertainty to consider. I forgot who does the lecture on GIS @ Mac in GEOG 1HB3/1HA3, ENVIRO SCI 1A03, etc, but I suggest talking to that person. Shoot them an e-mail, set up an appointment and just discuss job opportunities in the current day. Mind you, his opinion will be heavily biased for GIS so take it with a few grains of salt. I don't think there are many opportunities here in Ontario at least, but that's just me saying so. I haven't Googled or looked into anything.

There are a lot of job opportunities available if you have a strong background in GIS. There is a wall outside the GIS classrooms with various jobs and often there will be quite a few ads for GIS jobs, as well as there is a bunch posted on the internet. It is a hard minor to get but if you enjoy it and are good at it then it can be very beneficial.

This. Also I already suggested for you to ask the profs that teach the courses in your other thread.
