That's actually not possible. You can go from Hamilton GO Station to Union though.

I could do this and maybe make a trip out of it with a friend.
Depends on the cost though, if it's approx 10 to get to Hamilton/Mac (from Brampton), then however much to get to Union, then more for back to Brampton etc I might just go for a drive.
Either way I guess I have to do it if I want the student discount. 1 day of hassle for 8 months of discount I guess.

That is a lot... It'll probably be close to a 40$ trip.

You save about 10-15%. Very worth it. Even if you only buy one 10-ticket pass. Plus the GO ID is free, so definitively get one.

is it possible to get someone else to hand in the form at Union Station for me, or do I have to go myself?

Umm.. I don't see how emailing using your MacID will somehow let you be able to get extra letters/forms and going in person and giving your student card does not.

The reason you have to go pick it up is because they have to sign it and what not, so they can't just e-mail you a signed form, otherwise you can fill it out with any information multiple times. That's my understanding anyways.

Yeah it would likely be cheaper to drive. Depending on the day and time you go you don't have to take the ETR if you don't want to.
