Take the QEW Express to Hamilton (get off at Columbia College, Stop #1) or you can take the Lakeshore Train West to Aldershot and take the McMaster U Transfer bus from there.

What's a cheaper way? I would also like to know because I'm also from Toronto. I buy 10-rides so it's approx 8$ one way.

Is the GO student ID card just for purchasing monthly passes or is that also for riding the bus?

It's for Student 10-Rides and Student Monthly Passes. It basically just allows you to purchase at Student Prices.

You should be able to use your McMaster Student Card, there was a little problem with the lack of communication between McMaster and GO Transit but it should have been resolved by now. If you get denied the Student Pricing, just ask for the supervisor.

So just to clarify, I live in Mississauaga and if I wanted to buy the 10-ticket ride or monthly pass with the student discount, I just go to the Go station here and present my normal mcmaster student ID card to get the discount?

Most of the time you don't have to show your McMaster Student ID. You only have to show it if you are on the bus/train and they ask you.

I show it when I'm on the bus? I'm talking about buying the monthly pass at the Go station.

Sorry about that, the "and" is supposed to be an "if". You only have to show it if they ask you.

Lol, that doesn;t help either though

I'm asking when I go to the counter person at the Go station to buy the monthly pass, in order to pay the student rate instead of the discount rate do I just have to present my normal mcmaster student ID?

I said. The first part is buying the ticket while the second part is when you are actually using their services. I've only been "asked" once when buying a ticket and it was more like "You know you need a student card right" I just said yes and flashed my card, she didn't even look at it.
