I am broadcasting live from my new Nexus 7! It is awesome and I love it so far! Downloaded all my apps already! No immediate defects, but I'm sure they will show up later if there are any

The Nexus 7 we got for my dad came in yesterday. My mom, who has an Asus Transformer taught him how to use it and now they can Android together :B

I set up an RMA but then later cancelled it because I figured out how to fix the screen bulging issue permanently .

The way RMAs work is they send you a new one and you send yours back (with a prepaid shipping label they give you). They put a hold on your credit card to ensure that you can't keep both without paying for the replacement.

Do we only have a certain amount of days for that?
So I'll come to u if my screen bulges? Lol
How long had you been using yours before noticed it? I've only been on mine for like 2 hours total

I think you can RMA it any time within a year.

I noticed it almost immediately. If yours has the issue, the middle left hand side of the screen will noticeably bow outwards compared to the rest of the device. It's not something that shows up over time; you either have it or you don't. It's annoying because if you apply any sort of pressure on the thing, it will make a creaking noise.

If yours doesn't have it, well then, you're one of the chosen lucky ones the prophecy spoke of.

Flickering
My screen flickers when things are being loaded . Particularly noticeable in chrome. I disabled auto brightness but the problem persists. Anyone else experiencing problems along the lines of those mentioned in the link below?

Also, screen colours are nowhere near as vivid as galaxy nexus... is that another issue with the display or is it normal (for those who own both nexus devices and are able to compare)?

Did your flicker appear right away or after extended use?
