hopefully.. might have to wait a longggg time. did you get yours yet??
to add on, task killers were no longer needed past 2.2. 2.1 was okay, but still got bogged down, anything before that it was pretty necessary imo. they only introduced the 3 tier memory management as of 2.3 (i believe?). but 4.0 and 4.1 are fine. I haven't used a task killer in ages.. but if you kill every task you end up wasting more battery cause you end up killing essential processes that need to run in order for things to function properly; the phone knows that, and has to boot all the apps again and has to work harder to boot it up instead of keep it in idle. hence, worse battery life. just don't download fishy apps such as "download mp3 for free" and you should be fine.
oh and use betterbatterystats and cpuspy to figure out if you're phone is deep sleeping properly and use betterbatterystats to figure out which process is keeping your phone unusually awake.

It has arrived in Windsor Ontario!! I can feel it!!
Dillon you're probably laughing at me for waiting so long. But the last peice of technology I ordered in the mail was my 320GB Zune! Lol yes I had a zune, and I absolutely LOVED it! It was gorgeous, I watched movies, I never worried about space, i got it personalized with a knight in shinning armor on the back. Life was sweet.
Until 1 month after the warrenty was over the hardrive just DIED! i never dropped it, never unplugged it without unmounting, never got it wet. Just died. I was furious. Cost me more than the Nexus 7

Zune said if I mail it in they will replace the hard drive for $160. And I found a sketchy online place that you mail it into and then they tell you how much itll be. I didnt do that lol. I ended up buying an Ipod off kijiji for $130, I thought that was a good deal for an almost new 160gb ipod video.
How would you fix it for $50? I still have it, I want it to work.
EDIT: I will personally hire you to fix it for me

Well, maybe a bit more than $50, but the general process is - open it up, remove dead hard-drive and put something like this in:
http://www.canadacomputers.c om/pro...e m_id=050266
And then do a software restore or something.
This is based on a lot of assumptions, but I've done it before with iPods, so I assume it's the same process with Zunes.
You could also be a boss and upgrade to an SSD over a hard-drive, which would probably increase battery life, speed and durability significantly at the cost of space (~120 GB instead of 320 GB for around $60).

But how do you know it would all be compatible and work? Sounds like a dream come true, but it also sounds like a Frankenstien project.

I think google's return is 15 days, and of course id probably have to wait forever to actually get a new one, but i think if mine gets dead pixels or a loose screen ill have to return it

All laptop hard-drives (which this likely uses) have the same interface. What's the model of the Zune? I can check to make sure.

Probably not because it doesn't really take anything away from the functionality of the device. When I get a case, it shouldn't be at all noticeable.
