i dont think they'll charge extra. Google would've stated they're not responsible for any extra costs via courier. so i think we're safe. on the otherhand, i'm still waiting for that damn email!!

use instant upload from the dropbox app on your phone (pending on your data plan and bandwidth) it automatically uploads the pics and videos you take. I'm up to 13gbs on db now. Looking for someone with an SGS3 so i can log in and get 48gbs

whats sgs3? and how does that let you have 48gbs?
yea i saw the option for uploading all my pics but i wasnt sure, does that mean it just keeps expanding my space as i take pictures etc?
also whats the security/ownership like? I know facebook owns all your photos, but db isnt like that right? no one will steal my stuff?

galaxy s3, they just have some promo where if you have a galaxy s3 and use DB you get 48gb free for two years.
it expands every 250mb worth of pics you take. Security is all private afaik. Nothing is shared unless you decide to share your folder, and even then you have to share a link. I dont know about ownership... so sorry on the last point =\
Melanieee
says thanks to faithcry for this post.

Wow, what a bunch of asshats they have working at google, they should have garunteed the pre-order people theirs before they shipped everything off to retail stores. If I see this tablet in an electronic store imma gonna cancel my order, didn't even think of that tariff.. I got charged like 40-50$ on a thinkgeek order of ~300$ on top of shipping and taxes.. :/

Im pretty sure a company like google will consider tariffs. My guess is they will send a truckload of Nexus 7 to their canadian office and ship it from that address.

NOPE, my UPS tracking number says its in Kentucky, and it will arrive at my house by friday.
Which is crazy cause it told me it would be like a 2-day express ship, and it shipped yesterday.

Hmm then I assume any cross border charges will be waived.
Keep us posted either way!

I cant link you right now. But i just search "google nexus 7" and it was called Unboxing, with about 300,000 hits. Youll know its the right one when you see how long it takes this guy to open the box - he has alot of trouble lol

I should mention there are a lot of defects going around. A pretty common one that even mine has is this thing where the left hand side of the screen bulges up over time. Everyone seems to thinks it's an issue with the adhesive that holds the device together that occurred from manufacturing too quickly.
It's pretty annoying, but I think I'll just live with it since it's purely cosmetic and will be unnoticeable when I eventually get a good case.
Understandably though, most people are flipping their shit over it.
