After reading and following this thread, I am very happy I did not preorder this. I guess I will just wait to boxing day till other tablets go on sale for cheap

I have an Asus commuter bag too, I'm such a fanboy..
Got Netflix, Skype, and all the android apps from the Android Humble Bundles I have... any more suggestions? |

If you're willing to spend money on games Battleheart and Uniwar are both really good.
If you're not willing to pay, Angry Birds, Triple Town, Elemental, Words with Friends, and Scramble with Friends are all great time wasters.
Reader HD is awesome if you use Google Reader, Flipboard is pretty cool if you don't use Google Reader.
MX Player is probably the best video player on Android and PowerAMP is the best music player.
Outside of that, you might want something like aTorrent for your more elicit Android needs.

What about just general applications? I've been looking through what's available, and to be honest, it's a lot of gimmicky crap. I swear like half the games are tower defense too :p.
Anything that seems at all useful to me really is free, lol.
