Treat each other with mutual respect and take an interest in what the other person is passionate about. Make time for each other while still pursuing your own independent interests because that is integral to any healthy relationship, be they friendships or romantic relationships. Listen to each other, demonstrate your support during difficult times by reminding your partner that they can count on you and you will try to help out as much as you can and just treat each other decently.
As well, communication with your partner is essential to a functioning relationship. If you feel he needs something particular that you can't figure out, express your thoughts and hear out his response. Good luck
