Also Godfather II. But not III. Coppola should be shot for that.
Star wars, other than Episode I. Though I admit Episode II was lacklustre, and I hate those damn teddy bears in VI. Casino. Donnie Brasco. Goodfellas. Mob movies in general, though some do suck, Like Gotti with Arman (sp?) Assante. Scarface. Carlitos way. Gladiator. Braveheart. James bond movies NOT starring timothy dalton or that brosnan guy. God he was bad. Die Hard 1-3. the Alien Quadrilogy. Fight club. Miracle on 34th St. Its a wonderful Life.
And possibly the greatest movie ever caught on film: Army of Darkness.
Theres others, but that should give you an idea.

Well, i guess this guy "James Cameron" has to be doing something right that in last 11 years he only directed 2 movies and both of em are the highest grossing movies in the world.

You're forgetting the number of people (aka teenage girls) who saw the movie in theatres, three, four five times etc. THAT is why it grossed so much, not because the critical acclaim for the movie was so high...it was in the middle of the Leo DiCaprio fandom insanity.

Ummm, no. It's hype and marketing towards sheeple and little kids. and CGI.
The only Cameron works anyone should watch are T1, T2 and Aliens.

Sales =/= Quality
If those were equivalent, Lady Gaga would be well on her way to being the most talented musician to ever live...

Hmm...how can those 11 Academy awards be explained? Most ever! And yes it was both critical and commercial success.

Didn't Titanic win best picture at most awards shows? Avatar is on track to do the same, and it's 95% at Rotten Tomatoes amongst the top critics, so it clearly is one of the best movies released this year.

Your right sales do not represent Quality. But Lady Gaga is a pretty impressive singer. I wouldn't say shes the best ever to sing nor do I listen to much of pop music. But, few of her songs i have listened to are above the standard quality of now days.
Edit: I mostly listen to R&B, Hip-Hop and lil pop sometimes and reggae I don't mean to offend anyone!! But based on these few Genres, shes still legit!

There was no hype with this movie! I didn't even know when this movie was even released. It didn't even make that much of money in it's first week like Transformers or New Moon (this was freakin hype).
It started making money in it's second week when their was good review by the movie goers on rottentomatoes and such sites
