There may be plugins to enable iDevice compatibility but I haven't searched.
That's good to know, damn technology always advancing so quickly. I swear Songbird was compatible like 6 months ago...

Do you think someone will work to make them compatible again? Although it could be a real pain in the ass every time there is new firmware.

SongBird has given up on trying, they don't even offer the old compatibility plugin on their site anymore. I assume the rest of the media players will keep up the game of cat and mouse, the iDevice population is just too big to ignore.

That's true enough. But I don't know how I would feel about not being able to sync my iPod for an extended period of time waiting for them to update their compatibility plugin.

Also, do you have to update your iPod firmware via iTunes or is there another way?

I think as of Windows Vista you aren't supposed to be defragmenting your hard drive anymore.

Isn't that because it actually automatically defragments your computer?

Nope.

And yes, you should still defragment your computer, thats why windows still comes with a defragmenter.

I should have put in my first post, programs that I'll definitely have because I can't live without them:

Google Chrome
Firefox
iTunes (I do have an iPod)
Daemon Tools
PowerISO
BitLord
All programs in Adobe's CS3 lineup
WinFF
7Zip
WinRAR
Fences
VLC Media Player
CCleaner
Microsoft Office (I have the full suite)
Nod32 Antivirus (it comes with McAfee but I don't really like it)

BitLord? Use uTorrent.
Daemon tools? Use Virtual CloneDrive
You don't need 7Zip and WinRAR, 7Zip is better and cleaner
PowerISO? 7Zip can extract iso's, but not sure abour creating.
and finally, get the ESET security suite, all in one protection is good

I've never acutally used uTorrent. What's it got over BitLord?

& I've never bothered to download Virtual CloneDrive 'cause it seems like the only features it has that I'd use are the same as Daemon Tools, which I already have. Maybe you can change my opinion?

I found virtual clonedrive to be much cleaner and better GUI, but i guess it doesnt make much of a diff since they both mount.

uTorrent has recently started apps which are cool, and you can use the uTP protocol to kind evade throttling which is good Oh, and its a tiny tiny application

I wonder if anybody has ever paid for WinRAR. They've got the most passive way of telling you to pay them money that I've ever seen in a piece of software.

Why pay when the cancel button is so conveniently located next to it -- and does nothing to stop you from using the program?

Lmao.

It won't give you viruses and adware

This goes for anyone who uses firefox, switch to palemoon! It's a clone that is simply faster. Its exactly the same and will keep all of your settings and personal preferences like bookmarks and such. It's not really a switch at all because its the exact same thing... http://www.palemoon.org/

I actually use Opera because mouse gestures and speed dial are unreal I can't believe I used to have to move the cursor all the way to the top left of the page to go back and forth.

teracopy makes copy and paste and such faster which is great for transfering your files

can't forget about Grand Theft Auto San Andreas
