I kind of hope you're right. Either way, I'm pretty sure I'm going to stop watching. The only thing that's made me laugh in the past season has been Michael. Obviously Dwight too, but mostly Michael.

I want David Cross to replace Michael.

I want David Cross to replace every actor as every character in every show, though.

Have you read Mitch Hurwitz's list of reasons why he thinks the show got cancelled?

The last one sums it up for me:

"Make a show for British sensibilities, and then show it in America."

I laughed at the whole article.

But, "Audiences don't always know "when to laugh". By omitting a laugh track you can almost guarantee they'll never find out.

I seriously think that might have been an issue, some people just didnt get AD.

Stupid people >:(

I really think that, too. My roommate in first year used to watch it with me sometimes, and she always just laughed when I did.

Maybe she just didn't find it funny. But that's unacceptable.

I know the feeling

Its almost as bad as watching sex scenes in movies with your parents in the room.

Not really, but yeah.

Laughing tracks are only there because people are idiots and need to be told when to laugh. It also tricks you into thinking the jokes are funny. That's why Two and a Half Men never got axed (prior to Charlie Sheen's winning streak).

HIMYM and Seinfeld are the rare shows with a laugh track that I find legitimately funny. Can't think of any others atm

There are so few things I find less entertaining than Seinfeld. I feel like there should be an option on my television receiver to automatically turn every Seinfeld broadcast into the multi-coloured "off air" stripes so that I don't accidentally see 3 seconds of it while I'm flipping through channels.
