Part-Time Student option
I will be starting in Humanities I in 2012-2013 and want to get into the double degree program option where I want to take English and Biology. I wanted to mostly know from those who are in English themselves if it's possible for me to graduate with a honors degree if I study as part-time student from now on. The reason I chose this option is because I'm currently on academic probation so I figured a less workload will help me do a lot better this year. Also, will graduating as a part-time student negatively affect me in the future such as getting into MSc or teacher's college or getting a job?

I believe it's possible to do a double degree part-time, however it will definitely take longer. You'll get the degree if you complete the required credits though, whether or not it's part time or full time.

However, many professional/grad schools want to see how you do with a full course load. I've seen some require you have at least 1 year with a full course load and good marks, some will let you eliminate your lowest mark from each year if you had a full course load each year, etc. You should look into the specific schools you're considering.

however if I'm going to be on academic probation next year than it's ok for me to take part-time course load than after I get into english (in second year humanities) I can start taking full time course load. so will this be a good decision? and the teacher schools I'm looking at are basically western, laurier, toronto, etc and I'm also considering the states. I'm 100% settled on any yet.

Look into those schools and what they require, then. I haven't done the research, so I can't tell you if it's a good decision or not.
