irrespective of anything else, guilt hasn't actually been established, and as a Brit I'm disgusted that the press publishes names like this. What happens if they're innocent? do they get the same front page treatment with an apology?

Before it gets shut down I want to say something to be clear.
I never intended to diminish her situation, or herself as a person. I never intended to imply that she was at any fault. I'm not blaming her, despite attempts to say I am.
I have reasons for coming to the conclusions I have about minimizing risk which are not really up for discussion on a public board. To any who choose to judge me and deem me a "terrible and ignorant person" for my opinions, so be it. I hope that you will never have to understand or see things the way I do for the reasons I do. And I mean that quite sincerely. I wish I wasn't as cynical as I am to see the potential danger in every situation, and in every person, but that's what I am.
At the same time that doesn't mean I'm heartless. I cry for strangers and the things that happen to them as much as I do for those that I love. I didn't present myself very well in this situation so I suppose I can understand some if the hate directed my way, so I'm sorry.

i know nothing of crazyfree's life. maybe if i did I'd understand her anger and position, and I can imagine there might be very good justifications for what she has said. but id rather not discuss personal stuff on an open forum like that. my language was easily too strong and i got carried away with the passionate topic, I feel bad for making someone else so angry and im sorry.

I don't feel that you were being judgmental or harsh, but I think we have some common personal ground in terms of the situation, so it's likely that we view the situation entirely differently than some.
