The Campus Store pays rent on the Tank as well as the Store, Maroon Shop, and Health Sciences Campus Store. The warehouse that was made redundant was off campus.
Cost savings aside the most important factor in the decision to expand the Main Store is accessibility. The Tank is not wheelchair accessible. Having all course materials upstairs means that ALL students can access their course materials.
