If the highest person in the club is a student, then get it from that person.
I volunteered at The Sil and used them for references letter all the time, and they're students too. Employers never said anything to me about it.

Club president is sufficient.

The president for a club that I'm part of gets asked for references all the time. So club exec, or preferably president, is definitely legit.

Kind of related: I heard this reallllly good idea some time ago where you should take the time in your workplace to write down all the sorts of things you've accomplished in the past couple of months, and get your boss to sign off on it, rather than just get a reference at the end of your employment. This basically goes above and beyond a reference because it shows how you progressed as a person and what you're capable of adapting to. Depending on what sort of club your in, maybe consider writing down some of the things you accomplished, and possibly get some testimonials (although you might not have done much; thats fine). Doubt this applies to the poster, but I suggest it to anyone reading this in a club/job/volunteer position.
