drinking is a big deal in res. If the CAs catch you drinking and your not 19+, you get a fine of whatever amount and a major. 3 major = kick out of res.

Which Residence to choose?
I am planning to get a single room next year and I was wondering if there are better photos of residences that show a little bit more such as rooms, bathrooms, etc. I have looked on the virtual tour and I have looked at the res page on the university site.

All of the residences have a different layout for their single rooms. Unfortunately your best bet is to come and see a residence in order to see what the rooms look like.

Which residence in particular?

If you go to the residence thread in the MacInsiders forum that you want photos of, we've included as many photos as we could get. Some from people who were in the rez, and not the ones on the generic Mac website.

However, if you tell me which rez you want photos of I'll do a special hunt just for you

Hey can someone help me, I made a Residence Application last Saturday, March 15th, 2008 and made a deposit. The instructions on the Mac Wesbite says that I should get an email from the Housing department TWO business days after I applied. It is when they receive my application that they will e-mail me. But ... I got no emails from them and it's been like a WEEK! Should I call the Housing department or what? Im worried that they didnt get my application and my deposit! :|

Did you do this online or via the mail?

If it was online, two buisness days would mean you should have been contacted on Wednesday or Thursday (Mac is closed for buisness on Saturday).

If you haven't been contacted by Tuesday I'd say call.

The university may be open this weekend, try calling them.

It is open on Easter Monday.

Is it true that there are music practice rooms with pianos in them in the basement of all the residences? If so...are they open to anyone using them or just like music majors? I heard that they exist and are for everyone...but that just seems to good to be true.
