Maybe get a few things with you? and the others you can easily buy from Wal-mart or sears when you arrive! Like blankets and such, you may go the day right after you arrive, better than spending more money than you already are :(

If you have the money then buy from residence linens, but if you want a reasonable price for everything wait till you get here and hit the nearest walmart. I got my bed in a bag at walmart for around $50 and it was perfect, ill be using it again this year too. and as for everything else that comes in the residence linens package just go to the dollar shop near mac. shouldn't cost you more the $75 for everything.

Exactly. Even if you do have money, it's better to save it for something more important, food perhaps ?

Yeah, Walmart <3
I got this really cute pink and brown bed set with the most amazing pillows and a big fluffy one and it was a decent price. Also, the dollar store becomes your bff when you don't have much money. However, I am saddened that dollarama has marked up some of it's stuff.

^ Yeah... that was sort of annoying... but funny too.
Anyway, I was wondering, what size bathmat I should bring (I'm in Les Prince). I've got and a 17 by 24 and a 21 by 30-something inches.

The mattresses.... are interesting... They're sorta just soft enough to sleep on.... I don't really know what they're made up of... But they're really nice when you have a back ache (ie, stiff)
I bought a memory foam topper... I've heard it helps a lot.
EDIT: I also got a cotton mattress pad..

I think most mattresses in rez are foam. I was in Bates and mine was definitely foam. I would strongly suggest a mattress topper though. I personally had a memory foam one as well which helped a lot since the matresses aren't really thick.

I'm not sure if each residence has their own rules but for Bates each person was allowed to sign in 2 guests. In terms of staying overnight, I think they don't allow that during welcome week and exam time. Not 100% sure though.

the rules are the same for all residences, 2 guests per night and they are not allowed during welcome week or exams (even on the last night which i thought was kind of stupid)
