I emailed both my roommates, as a get-to-know-you type of thing. But because of vacations and such, we've only communicated once or twice. Best to wait till move-in day, I think that's how it'll be for everyone anyway

Are parents allowed to come in our residence rooms on move in day?

appliances
I was was wondering what sort of appliances there were in the kitchen in the common room? More specifically smaller ones like a toaster and kettle. If there isn't one are we allowed to bring our own if it isn't used in our rooms, but taken into the kitchen?

In my res last year there was a toaster and a microwave (and obviously a fridge and a stove). And yes, I think you have to bring your own kettle and you can bring it to the kitchen.

Your suitcase can be as big as you want it to be...as long as it fits through the door.

in the bunk and loft, are you provided with a fridge, or do you need to bring your own?

A fridge should be provided.

There were kettles in both Hedden and Whidden common rooms when I lived there so I would assume there are kettles in all common rooms of traditional style residences.
You can't use a kettle in your room anyway so it would be a waste of space to bring one.
