Has anyone tried those drier balls?
You throw them in your load of wash and apparently it dries quicker, and therefore costs less money... They supposedly keep the fabric seperated.
Anyone know if they work?

As Sara mentioned you can rent fridges, but it's about the same price as buying a fridge. I would suggest buying the fridge as you will probably use it in later years as well, even if you are off-campus.

That seems awfully expensive to do laundry.
What's the closest laundromat to Mac? And what's the average cost?

It's actually pretty cheap. I had to go to a laundromat off campus when I was in a hotel during the Brandon Hall fire. It cost me about six dollars to wash and dry my clothes. I don't know if that's normal, or if I was ripped off.

I've tried them in my dryer at home...I don't think they do all that much. They do keep them soft though, which is nice. Dryer sheets can add a film in the inside of dryers, preventing them from working properly after years of use. So...maybe I'll use them and see how it goes?

I think about $1.50-$2/load (wash or dry) is somewhere around normal in a laundromat, so depending on how many loads you did you probably didn't pay that much.

My room in Edwards was big enough to hold a drying rack. I air dried my clothes most of the time which saved me a lot of money.

I'm pretty sure they do, since the rooms I saw wouldn't fit 4 beds otherwise. I didn't get a chance to see one myself though

Quad rooms differ from building to building. Some have two bunk beds I believe but not all.

has anyone seen the triple bunk/loft rooms in Mathews?
because it wasnt available to see on welcome day... and the peopel giving the tour didnt even know Mathews had bunk/loft rooms... but they did mentioned how it may have three single beds instead of a bunk and loft.
just wanted to know what it looked like, so if anyone has been in one or had a frnd in one... please fill me in on what they look like.
thanks.

since its bunk/loft im thinking itll be very similar to moulton's style. If you didn't see it, then one side is a bunk bed, and the loft has one bed, and then the desk for that person is right underneath it.

Bunk and loft in Matthews were always all on the first floor in the past. From what I saw from living in Matthews for 2 years, the first floor rooms all tend to be around the same size.
I attached some pics of my room in second year on first floor (room 125 I think it was). It's the room right under the walkway of the building at the middle stairwell. It was a double with a washroom but it could have been a bunk and loft I think.
If anyone wants some more pics or some of the videos I took of the common room/stairwell/quad area outside, just send me a message. My parents took a bunch when I was living there.

It was a fairly large room. In my first year I was in a double on second floor and then room was a lot smaller.
