Hi, you need the 2 complementary studies electives to graduate, but from what I recall, you do not need to take them now in order to move to Level 2 - unless you want to get into eng & mgnt then you would need the ECON 1B03. So you're free to take them during the summer. I was just wondering if you were planning to take 2 electives first year, since I've seen some eng timetables with the two electives.

I was wondering if first years are able to check out their degree audit yet. If you are, go onto MUGSI>My Acadmeics>Degree Audit. It tells you exactly what you need to graduate throughout the 3/4/5 year program you're taking. It's an extremely helpful tool to let you know what you need, as it updates over the years. Mine finally says now, "All requirements satisfied, identified as potential grad". It's been a while coming!

zoyy, harsshu all say thanks to mitch for this post.

So if someone wants to go into Eng and Management they need to take 2 electives in the first year, otherwise not. Thank-you.

if you want to go into Eng & Management you need the ECON 1B03 as a prerequisite. So yes, you would need to take that elective before you go into 2nd year. You can take your other elective later on if you want. As long as you get those 6-units worth of electives, before you graduate you should be fine. It's better to get it done first year tho so you don't have to worry about it.

Just to clarify, it's 6 units worth of electives you need to take for Eng. So you can take two 3-unit electives OR one 6-unit elective. Hope that helped.

Hi thanks for replying. I can't really move my sociology because it conflicts with other classes :(. i actually want to move it but i can't. However, i'm thinking of moving my tutorial after the lecture. I think that would be better. Because I don't wanna have the tutorial a week after the lecture. If u know what i mean, right ? What do u think?

Hey Lampk and everyone else wondering out there,

The white lines on your timetable are due to courses at that time in the other semester. Just overlap the two semesters and you'll see that wherever you have lines on one, you have a course on the other. It's a really bad design. I would suggest not printing off these timetables, they can get very confusing with all the lines and such. I highly suggest everyone manually put their courses manually into a timetable document that's pre-made like the one I provided in another thread. Carry it around for the first week so you don't get confused about where you are. It's really easy to understand and doesn't have any crazy lines.

Sorry I went a bit off topic there

If anyone wants my personal opinions on how to fix up their timetable, please send me a personal mesage with it attached. I'll continue answering people's questions on the forums with everyone else, but I'm sorry if I get caught up with work and your post gets lost in the void of macinsiders!
