13" is good for me.

I don't know why people enjoy giant laptops, they end up as desktops with a lid because they're so heavy to carry.

12" or 13".

I definitely agree with jesus. I have a 15.4" Dell and it is literally a brick, so I hardly ever carry it anywhere unless I absolutely need to. Apparently some people like larger laptops because they have stronger processors, but seriously...it's supposed to be portable...why would you buy a 17" laptop -_-?? Just my opinion...

So I was at Thode yesterday, umm, those desktops scare me. They're like half the size of my body.

i enjoy my 13" macbook. when i use a 15" laptop its not like a notice a big difference, and the smaller size makes it more compact and easier to throw at people (or carry around) haha

It depends on what I'm using it for.

In-class/work/taking notes = Smaller screen size (but not ridiculously small like those Asus EeePCs or something). So it's portable and lightweight enough.

Gaming/etc. = Larger screen size

Well, a 17" is still portable. First year I didn't want to bring my desktop + monitor + peripherals all the way to Mac (and in the limited bedroom sizes that is Bates).

I think anything over 15" becomes very akward.

I have a 15.4 Dell, and I like it. It's big enough to watch movies with friends, but small enough to carry around and have in class. 14" would probably be nice too though.

I also have a 15.4" Dell, I also watch movies with friends on my laptop and it's easy to carry around. I just weighed it and it was 6lbs.

That is going to be a pain to move in and out... Are you planning to buy cable for your room?

Or are you just going to use it for your Laptop Screen when you are in Res?

That the thing, this place (not res) does not have cable. I was going to use it for my laptop to connect to. Now it sounds like a complete waste, but its also a complete waste to leave it in Toronto.

You can buy cable... COGECO is the provider. But I would look in the room for where the cable input thing is before you bring the TV. Sometimes it's behind furniture and sometimes you can't find it, but I'm pretty sure there should be one in every room.

You have to buy cable. Visit http://www.cogeco.ca/cable/on/en/res...l/tv/main.html
