SOC SCI - VOROS classes
hey, if your in first year, and you decide to take a class by voros (SOC SCI classes) that not first yr classes per say but anyone can take them.... so, can it be classified as a first year elective? (since we need 30 first year credits total, correct)...

and also, if I took two, would one just be considered an elective (generally) and then one for one of my first year credits.

thanks, hope that wasn't too confusing.

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking...but courses are classified as "first year" based on the course code. It doesn't matter who the prof is or what the department is or whether or not anyone can take it. If the course code starts with "1" then it's a first-year course. It's an elective if it's not a requirement for your program, but it can still count towards your total number of units required for your degree. I don't know what you mean by "if I took two, would one just be considered an elective (generally) and then one for one of my first year credits."
