Prerequisite: One of Grade 12 Data Management U, STATS 1A03 or registration in Level II or above of a program in the Faculty of Science
Instructor: Dr. Aaron Childs

Ok, thanks for the info. Did you guys cover permutation and combinations? As well, did you guys do like binomial and normal distribution, probability like conditional probability, z-scores (normal) and stuff?

Thanks for all the great posts anubhagat! I was a little nervous about this class having not taken data management in grade 12 but I feel fine now! Especially since you say the labs are easy. I have enough labs to worry about. lol

we did not cover perms/combs but did do all the other things you mentioned.

Thats good, so it has quite a few topics that were covered in Data Management/Probability. How difficult is the exam in comparison to the two midterms? Same difficulty or easier or harder?

the exam and midterms were actually quite easy as long as you did the practice tests that were provided in the back of the lab manual/handbook. the questions were very similar to the practice ones provided so neither the exam nor the midterm were hard as long as you understood the basic concepts.

what is the class average? anybody know? ..would i be able to get 10+ in this class if i put in the effort even though i have never taken a stats course before? im going into my third year of kinesiology ..thanks

The midterm for the spring sessions had an average of 16.7/20. The concepts aren't that difficult to learn.

I finished this course last year and got a 10 in it easily. I've never taken a stats course before either. The material is veryy different but totally doable.

I tried to get on to solar and get the stats course early this morning and it was full, i just checked now and it says available. So keep checking, i' sure people are still rearranging their courses
