With regards to the labs, are they completely optional? As in...can we attend any lab time that we choose, or we have to hand in our assignments to a particular TA (from our assigned labslot)?

i only ever went to one lab...and that was the first one and mostly because i didnt have the manual yet (they sold out so be sure to get yours fast)
and the assignments were all to be submitted onlune by midnight on a certain date.. but i believe u were allowed to submit one late the next day without penalty (but be careful because if u abuse the system then all ur assignments get a zero)

Oh, I understand now. I kind of hate my labtime atm. It's at 8:30 in the morning XD. |

Has anyone had Chen, Volterman, or Canty as a prof before? I think they're new to Stats and I kinda wanted to hear some opinions :(.

i would also like to know how is it to take this course with Dr. Canty. I know Dr. Childs is pretty good, but his core conflicts with one of my other courses :(

Take this course! If you do the practice questions and tests before examinations, you will ace this. Dr. Childs is a great teacher and funny too.

This course is one of the easiest courses at McMaster. Just practice the sample tests in the courseware and you will get a 12 easily. Just make sure to take the course with Dr.Childs, he is one the best prof I have had at Mac, as he really explains concepts well.
