I just had a nice little chat with cogeco. I wanted to increase my service for the month because we went over our 60GB cap. The lady started off with lip to me: "Well sir, I will only do that depending on how this conversation goes"... Baha! The argument proceeded from that. I told her she lost a customer as soon as Cogeco wasn't my only choice. I told her to do some research, because TekSaavy just killed her monopoly, so she'd have to stop being a b!t(h to customers: She wasn't my only choice anymore for internet... She finished off by saying:
Well do you know what? I have something to tell you then. {I say: what's that?} You better give us 30 days notice...
OHHH boy was I pissed. I say: No problem, I'll be calling back soon with that notice. Done. TekSaavy: Please initiate service!

Haha, I like how the big companies have completely forgotten about customer service.

Aren't the Bell lines throttled on the hardline, so even Tekksavvy has to deal with throttling problems?
**** Bell. I've been trying different ways to kick start my torrenting and their throttling is killing my ratio.

You can pay an extra $4 or $5 a month with teksavvy to use MLPPP i think and that will bypass throttling.
Call them for info.

So has anybody made the switch to TekSavvy cable yet? It's now advertised on their website...
I know I need to make the switch soon...halfway into the first month of summer and was at 54GB/60GB of my usage. Overage charges aren't going to be pretty.
Rogers doesn't do internet contracts, right? I'm just wondering b/c my landlord handles the internet for us...need to contact her soon about making the switch.

As far as I remember, Rogers only does contracts. Hopefully your landlord hasn't renewed it yet :/.

For anyone else who was wondering, I sent them an e-mail asking when they'd be in Hamilton, to which they replied:

We should be in Hamilton by August.
