Not sure, there aren't any exceptions given to the opening of SOLAR on July 12th. It should open to everyone...

But more than one person at mac told me it would be re-opening on the 12th, so what gives? Is it an 8:30 AM thing?

 for some reason its not open for undergrads. even though i got an e-mial from my faculty saving i have to go on solar July 12 to change my courses |

It shouldn't be at 8:30... the time wasn't specified so by default it's at 12:01am.

At this point I don't think it'll be open for a while... Maybe after the reset? I think that happens at 3:30-4:30.
