I agree, it shouldn't have been as severe as a red. I would have still given him a yellow though (which would be a red in the end). He clearly elbowed the guy on purpose. It wasn't even like the guy bumped into him and then he elbowed. He elbowed the guy as the guy was getting close.
Edit: I just saw the replay. It actually was a yellow card which resulted in a red. I believe the ref did the proper thing. Not to mention that Kaka shouldn't have gotten involved so many times. What was he thinking?

Yeah, the ref was discussing with Fabiano. The ref was like laughing and smiling. He was probably thinking something like "I know it hit your arm, but whatever. hahahahaha".

Oh I know, how did that go unnoticed? I could tell it was a handball at the time it happened. There are definitely some strange calls coming out of this world cup....
In the wise words of Han Solo, "I've got a bad feeling about this"
(Side-note: The Chile-Switzerland game was rather entertaining - the Battle of the Mountain-People! )

7-0 for portugal like wow nice I can't wait to see them vs Brazil haha will be awesome and they speak the same language (pretty much) there might be some "putos" here and there.
As for people who choose a team and switch when they loose gtfo. Supporting another team when yours is out is a diff story however. And I'm looking for Germany to destroy Ghana (even though I would have liked to see Ghana as one of the African countries to Advance).

I have no idea how the ref didn't notice that. Agree 110%! But on the other hand, surprises can be a good thing.. I think =/?
So true! I wasn't planning to watch the whole thing, but before i knew it.. it was minute 90 =/.
On another note ..Portugal's 7-goal win was also something. Spain's finally getting back on track.. and Federer had an awesome comeback in Wimbledon's round 1.. Good day overall

GO Germany! If they play the way they did against aussie, ghana's got no chance.
Question! So where can I find a Vuvuzela in Hamilton or maybe the GTA?
It would be so awesome to have one for Welcome week and troll the other faculties
Not sure, you can probably just buy it online though. It'll definitively arrive before september if you order it now...

they were selling plastic ones at a taste of italy last weekend on college st. between bathurst and ossignton
not sure if it was a stand or a store selling them.
if it was a stand, its gone now cuz the festival is over.
u may be able to get one still if it was a store though.

Whenever Portugal doesn't play I've always cheered on Brazil. This Friday is going to be very interesting. I'm super excited. Let's just hope Portugal brings their A game again although I'm fully aware we won't have another 7-0 victory.

Oh, France. Way to flop. As well, South Africa is the only host country to not make it out of the group stages. Oops.

That Greek goal keeper was flippin' fantastic! Now, if only Greece hadn't turtled-up, they may have had a chance........if they hadn't been facing the Argentines, of course.

Sure they didn't absolutely crush North Korea like Portugal did, but North Korea pushed forward much more against Portugal as opposed to their ultra-defensive strategy against Brazil. In lieu of that, and given the fact that Brazil didn't push forward as much as Portugal did (they committed to attacking so much that they scored 3 goals in the last 10 minutes...) I'd say it was a pretty convincing result. A win's a win guys, and Brazil is looking incredibly solid 1 through 11 lol
