This compares to Galaxy S which has 1 GHz CPU and 512 MB RAM.
The only reason Galaxy is behind Milestone is because of the price.. I looked at 'plans' and they're big rip offs, just to get a super-cheap phone. Apps isn't a #1 priority, and from what I've seen, the Windows apps are pretty decent? I don't need a billion, plus they'll be adding more If I really cared.

In the end its your choice. But I still stick with my recommendation. The above video will help to convince you, I hope.

I'm looking for a smartphone right now myself. I had narrowed it down to the Samsung Galaxy S Captivate. Went to the store to learn more about it before I purchase it and thats when I learned about the Motorola Atrix...

Now I'm waiting till early March to pick up the beast that is the Atrix.

Thank ****ing God dude, you dodged the bullet.
I bought a Galaxy S from Bell in September, and the thing has honestly not lasted me more than 2 months. It broke in November and they didn't get it back to me until the end of exams. It broke again on Monday in exactly the same manner.

So I'm on the same boat as you now, I'm waiting for the Atrix to come out and I'm gonna grab that as a direct replacement.

edit: Realized you wrote Captivate, not Vibrant. The Captivate is fine, the Vibrant sucks ass. Never mind, bullets were never fired.

I'd probably wait for reviews of the Atrix, the phone itself seems fine, but the docked experience looked to be slightly above an average netbook (plus there are videos of it freezing while docked).

Yeah I have no intention of getting the laptop dock. Price is just insanly high for just a shell.

What pisses me off though is that most Andriod phones have really old OS versions. Like the Captivate is still on 2.1 and I keep reading how Samsung is delaying it like crazy. The only phone I know that is up to date with Andriod 2.3 Gingerbread is the Nexus S. Not even the Atrix will have 2.3...

The Captivate has been upgraded to 2.2 on Rogers, but not on AT&T which is probably what you're reading. I believe all the Galaxy S phones are on 2.2 and so is the HTC Desire (+Z)
