Yea waiting is the best.

Just wait a bit till we get those communication badges you keep seeing on Star Trek.

Now _this_ is the phone we all should be waiting for.

IMO just grab a phone. The more you wait, the more your going to want the latest and greatest. New stuff is always being released. Like the a new iPhone will be coming out in September, you can wait that long your just get a phone now and be done with it.

Thinking of getting (trying out) a Motorola XT720 but I didn't want it before and crossed it out for some reason.. I think its because 2.2+ wouldn't be supported, but it looks like it will now.. opinions on this phone? ('Milestone').. I have a feeling it'll be a disappointment.

Either that or BB Bold/Curve

Dude! You don't listen well... Blackberries does not have the features you are looking for! I mentioned this already at the start...

Ya BB is definately the wrong direction to go. I haven't really read this thread but IPHONEIPHONEIPHONE. There may be some features that can be beat by other phones but for me jailbreak+installous (free apps, if youre okay with that kinda thing) is enough of a reason to get the phone.

Nope they do everything I need except for having all the apps I would like, which I could do without

More likely you will be bitching at Wind's service than the phone.

Well so far I've had more bars and better connectivity anywhere I've been so far compared to Rogers' service..

edit: You're with Wind, right? What have your issues been with it?

Highly recommend nexus s. Works perfectly on wind network for the past year. Might cost you a bit for the phone but well worth it.

Yea I'm with Wind. Been with Wind since December last year.

My issue is (using BB Bold 9700):

- Half-Duplex problem. It is getting better though.

- General voice quality. I'm coming from Rogers/Fido so its definitely worst.

- Indoor signals isn't as good. When I come home, I get 1 bar inside my home and 0 in basement compares to full bars with Rogers/Fido. Also get nothing at my work.

- Data depends on reception so bad reception equals to bad data.

Remember to set your phone to reject roaming else you might be getting roaming charges whenever your phone can't connect to a Wind Home zone and uses the stronger signal (Rogers tower) for Wind Away even when you are in your zone.

Yeah, it was set that way by default..

My only issue so far has been the short USB charging cable.. but considering the charging cable doubles as a wall adapter.. the bonus negates the negative

The no roaming was set by default on the XT720? That is interesting then... Wonder why Wind would do that...

Too much competition for that to actually become a reality.

Its like WP7 merging with android, or WP7 merging with iOS... very unlikely
