That 2000 extra could possibly be the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship, if you applied to it and if you didn't then I have no idea what it is. lol

Yes Kevin, I meant units.

Perhaps you ended up with a scholarship, Chris?

osap and education plan question
ok so im lost with the payment agreement
i am using osap to pay for residence/meal plan
but i am using an education plan to pay for my tuition
if i am doing this do i just click osap in the agreement form...
i dont want them to however use osap for my tuition when the time comes

also how long do we have to resubmit the form?

ok I am a bit confused with the payment agreement plans. What do they mean when they say Payment in Full? Is it possible to pay the first semester in full and then pay the 2nd semester in full closer to january (in terms of tuition) and if so what would I click to do that and also I now have my residence assignment but it is not showing on my Payment agreement since it is still in the default dollar amount do they have to change it or am I suppose to do something about it? And one more thing where do you go to change your meal plan option? Thanks

anitaa : Payment in full means paying the entire balance in one large sum. If you want to pay both semesters seperately you'd need to do an installment plan of some sort.

Ola2000: I can't really help you because I can't get OSAP. Is it possible for you to click on both methods in your Payment Agreement? And the sooner you confirm your payment agreement, the better. As of when we can no longer access SOLAR and make changes your timetable will be wiped out if you don't have your Payment Agreement filled out.

For some reason, in the funding section i am not able to choose the McMaster scholarship as an option even though I know for sure that I should be getting some money.

That is correct. I can't seem to find it again, but I remember reading something about the entrance scholarships being released in August, if I remember sometime during the beginning/middle. That means you'll have to update your payment agreement once again.

Edit: I found it, it says starting August 4th... here's the link http://www.mcmaster.ca/bms/student/p...eadlines.p df

Then you need to select the Installment Plan which will split your fees in half, one half due in Sept the other in Jan

But you cannot select the installment plan when you get a full sponsorship, right?
When I select partial sponsorship and I put $12,000 as my sponsored amount (balance is 13955.28 ) , I get an installment amount of 8452.93 .
Does this mean that I have to pay 8452 twice , once in Sept and once in Jan???
Because that would mean I have to pay about 17,000 instead of 14,000.
Need some help here.

Hmm. I see what you mean. I would call the Financial Aid and Scholarships office seeing as you're talking about a scholarship... they might refer you to another office but theres a good chance they'd be able to direct you. You can get the financial aid office at extention 24319
