Protesting the Protest!
Guys, it feels so good.
I went today with only 4 other people with cardboard signs at sterling for 30 mintues - we got at least 15 people saying "thanks", "i like what you're doing", handshakes - it felt great.
Some of my friends went to cootes too, and were actually asked to leave by CUPE members, but the cops told them they had to let them stay.. heehee
Our signs said "CUPE: Bully", "CUPE causes CO2 Emissions: Idling sucks!", "Honk if you hate CUPE", and "CUPE holds the public hostage".
I highly recommend those against the strike get out there with a couple friends, even for just a bit before class. Feels good.

I recommend everyone express their opinions openly and loudly. This is a great way to do so, and I hope more people follow through.
The pickets have been weak so far... it would be impressive if a group of students larger than the group of Cupies could get out and do this.

It was kind of random, happening from the lounge when i got there today, but of course we could arrange some more times!
Make this the forum to post a time/place suggestion and ask people to show up!!!

Keeping quiet is equivalent to bending over and taking it.
I'll stay strong thanks.

habitual contempt doesn't reflect a finer sensibility. At times inactivity is preferable to mindless functioning

I think their setting up for another one in a bit. In my math class about an hour ago there was an announcement to meet in the eng lounge (JHE past the main lobby) to protest...
