I'm havin trouble with arraging my timetable right...is it really a bad idea to have 4 coursses in term 1 and 6 courses in term 2? This is what i have so far

term 1: Bio, Chem, math, psych, science 1AOO
Term 2: bio, chem, stats, phsyics, psych

I need to pick an elective...i can either pick envir sci 1GO3 in term 1 (and if i did tht them i wud have an equal balance of courses in both terms) or i could pick Inquiry 1SC3 (if i did this then it wud result in 6 courses in term two and 4 courses in term 1)...is tht such a bad idea since i heard inquiry is pretty easy anyways? or shud i take envir sci which isnt as easy bit i wud hve an equal balance?

Yes, generally it is a VERY bad idea to have an un-balanced course load (ie 6 one semester and 4 another). Especially as a science student, as labs take up a lot of time; so instead of 20ish hours of class per week you may be up to 25...which is by no means fun!

labs are around three hours a piece. tutorials, if you have them, and if you go (ie if they're mandatory or not) are usually about an hour.

Sooo that's an extra four hours...

oh wow..thas a great amount of free time loss :(
does every course have tutorials? Im guessing all science courses have labs.
so...if i take Inquiry it would save a lot of time right coz of no labs and im guessing it has no tutorials.

I can tell you what I know:

all soc sci and humanities courses have mandatory, weekly, one hour tutorials. however, that extra hour is incorporated into your three hours of class time.
most science and math classes have weekly one hour tutorials, but they are not mandatory. all core science classes do have labs, but usually they are bi-weekly.

and you are right, i sort of think inquiry doesn't have a tutorial. however if you check the course time table it will tell you for sure.

I was looking through the course timetable for CHEM 1A03, and all the Lab statuses were "EOW". What does that mean?
Thanks. : )

Well, kinda. But not really.
